My Politics

I've voted for the Libertarians the last 10 elections for President. I do not believe in the Republinuts or the Democraps, or, the big media that supports them.

Because of the above - my views, IMO, are the real independent; THE `Eagle' views, and not the `centrist' `independent' views of those that alternate between the Jackass and the Elephant.

Thanks for checking out my politics blog.

America’s Government Terrified Marijuana Has Medicinal Benefits

A must read article that shows the hoops and walls the people must jump thru to do real medical research on pot. What a sad sad government we have; truly the most worthless politicians on the planet. http://hailmaryjane.com/americas-government-terrified-marijuana-has-medicinal-benefits/ Real Heavy Politics.

Peak phosphorous: mankind's latest threat - http://sl.farmonline.com.au/news/nationalrural/agribusiness-and-general/general/peak-phosphorous-mankinds-latest-threat/1729835.aspx?storypage=0 And near worthless world politicians are too scared to talk about the sustainability of humans - and the need to REDUCE our numbers for the sake of our planet. Real Heavy Politics.

Climate conference ignored overpopulation - The overpopulation issue is JUST starting to make a minor impact --- to quote from this post -- "The discussions in Denmark took place in a conceptual fantasy world in which climate change is the only global crisis that matters much; in which rapid economic growth is still an option; in which fossil fuels are practically limitless; in which a Western middle class staring at the prospect of penury can be persuaded voluntarily to transfer a significant portion of its rapidly evaporating wealth to other nations; and in which the subject of human overpopulation can barely be mentioned. No wonder more wasn't accomplished." http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2010/jan/21/climate-conference-ignored-overpopulation/ More RHP.

Is The New Obama Administration Medical Marijuana Policy - Just More Hot Air?

So, the big media talking heads played the fool again - announcing the `big' change in pot policy by the Federal Government. Now, being a 100% skeptic on anything said by our media - let alone being a 200% skeptic on anything the media says the government is doing about marijuana - I thought I'd look at the words used for this policy change.

"And while the policy memo describes a change in priorities away from prosecuting medical marijuana cases, it does not rule out the possibility that the federal government could still prosecute someone whose activities are allowed under state law."....."In particular, the memo urges prosecutors to pursue marijuana cases which involve violence, the illegal use of firearms, selling pot to minors, money laundering or other crimes."..."At the same time, the officials said, the government will still prosecute those who use medical marijuana as a cover for other illegal activity. The memo particularly warns that some suspects may hide old-fashioned drug dealing or other crimes behind a medical marijuana business." ..."The memo, the officials said, emphasizes that prosecutors have wide discretion in choosing which cases to pursue,"

Say what? You call this progress? Is it really possible that all this hype was focused on these words only? ..."it is not a good use of federal manpower to prosecute those who are without a doubt in compliance with state law."

So, in other words - treat the user and the distributor as guilty until proven innocent. And, since WHEN is it EVER a good use of federal manpower to prosecute those who are without a doubt in compliance with state law? AND, THAT IS THE PROGRESS? Oh please.

Sorry pal - seems like a lot of hot air trial balloon to me. One bag of hot air to lull to sleep those that would desire real change. The kind of feel good change you can't believe in.
